Welcome to Zoranovich Chiropractic, Serving SF’s Mission-Bernal neighborhood (and beyond!)
Our team is here to help you feel at home in your body, rest and heal from the past, and feel like yourself again.
Accidents, Injuries, and Surgeries
When we sustain a big injury, sometimes healing means adapting to the big changes that happened. That means not just our bodies but our brains change. Recovery can be a long road, and sometimes we have lingering problems years later. I specialize in chronic problems that result from injuries we sustained years ago. If you’re still suffering through (or even just putting up with!) symptoms from an old injury, book an appointment and let’s find out together if I can help.
Relationship-based Trauma
Whether a parent, “friends” on the playground, a lover, or a trusted authority, traumas that come from our relationships with others have specific effects on our brains and bodies. We may get stuck cowering, shrinking, and hiding, or blustering and puffing ourselves up to keep the danger at bay. We get wired to try to keep ourselves safe, and over time the habit of protection gets stuck. If you’re having physical symptoms from emotional injuries, chiropractic in conjunction with therapy can have profound impacts on your healing. Let’s get you back to thriving and growing and trusting yourself again.
Identity-based Trauma
As a queer person, it’s important to me to serve and honor the experiences of others who’ve been on the margins. I’m especially dedicated to providing respectful safe healing space to queer and trans people, people with physical or neurological differences from “standard,” and anyone who been harmed because of who they are or what they look like.*
*- as a white guy, I know that I don’t know what it’s like to be a person of color in America. I do know what it’s like to be either invisible or way-too-visible because of features about who I am that I didn’t get a choice about. If our culture has messed you up because of who you are, I welcome you to my practice.
Children need care too – we all benefit from improved function and communication. And if you’re a parent, you’ll have more patience when your body is working well and holding less chronic tension. We all deserve to feel our best!
Taking care of people as they age lets them keep enjoying life, expanding their horizons, and enjoy the golden years of life more. I’ll care for you the way I take care of my own mom.
