Diversified Technique

Dr. Staight practices predominately Diversified Technique. The technique involves the application of “a short (low-amplitude), quick (high velocity) thrust over restricted joints with the goal of restoring normal range of motion in the joint.” Diversified technique has three main objectives:  to restore spinal alignment , improve joint dysfunction, and enhance proper movement.
The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners reports that, although the typical chiropractor uses as many as five or six different adjusting techniques in the course of practice, 96% report that Diversified Technique is one of them. They further indicate that this method is used to treat 72% of their patients.
In addition to spinal manipulation, Dr. Staight may use adjunctive therapies such as therapeutic exercise, therapeutic stretches, physical modalities such as ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation, diet and nutritional counseling, and lifestyle modification counseling.
