Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic adjustment refers to the manual manipulation of the body with the purpose of alleviating problems within the musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal system is composed of the bones, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, and other connective tissues that provide support, stability and movement in the body. When there are misalignments within the spine it can cause mild, severe, acute or chronic symptoms, along with limited mobility and difficulty carrying out usual day to day tasks. Adjustments are very safe and can be performed with the hands or with an instrument/device.

Now the chiropractic adjustment isn’t the only thing that we offer here at DBH Chiropractic, we also offer a wide variety of therapies and modalities in order to speed up the healing process and get the long-lasting results you deserve.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy, which is also known as non-surgical spinal decompression. The therapy is used by relieving pressure off the nerves and discs. This is an excellent treatment option for people who are suffering with disc problems (herniation,bulging), sciatica, pain/numbness down the legs/arms, headaches, chronic pain lower back pain or neck pain, facet joint irritation. We offer a state-of-the-art decompression table that is safe and comfortable for our patients. Non-surgical spinal decompression is a safe, affordable, and an extremely effective alternative to spinal surgery.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Class 4 laser therapy helps accelerate you own body’s natural healing process through something called photo-bio-stimulation. It is effective in treating acute and chronic conditions throughout the body, sprains/strains, headaches and more.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical muscle stimulation is used to reduce pain and muscle spasms. It is similar to a TENS unit which is widely available to the public, but the difference is that that it is much stronger, perform at different frequencies and forces the muscles to fatigue and ultimately calm down muscle spasms.

IASTM Therapy

IASTM stands for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. It is very effective in breaking up muscle adhesions with a specific tool. With this therapy, some bruising may occur on some patients, it can be uncomfortable, but should not be painful. This therapy is something that is excellent for strained muscle tissue and helping to loosen up the muscle tissue, increase range of motion and decrease pain. The goal of this therapy is to break up scar tissue increase blood flow to the area of pain to increase delivery of nutrients to speed up the healing process.

Intersegmental Traction

Intersegmental traction is commonly used in chiropractic and is used to mobilize the spine and help lengthen the muscles surrounding the spine to help increase mobility and get the muscles back to their normal resting length.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is something that is commonly used by chiropractors and physical therapists. The therapy uses sound waves and produces a deep heat to muscles and tendons to help increase blood flow to area of injury, decrease inflammation and break up muscle adhesions.

Diathermy

Diathermy produces a deep heat to help increase blood flow to the area of pain and loosen up the muscles. This therapy is very beneficial in patients who are suffering from bursitis, chronic aches and pains and decrease arthritic stiffness.

Rapid Release Massager

The Rapid Release massager is a high frequency massager that aims to break up muscle adhesions and promote a quicker healing response. It is great for aches, pains, and soreness all of over the body.

ATM – Active Therapeutic Movements

Active therapeutic movements therapy is a rehabilitative device that is extremely efficient in decreasing pain with motions such as bending forward or backward, along with being exceptional at improving a patient’s posture. It is pain free and normally delivers rapid results.

Vibration Plate Therapy

Vibration plate therapy is commonly used in our rehab portion of our care plans. It uses vibrations at specific frequencies in order to increase stimulation of the nerves (basically waking up the nerves) This is used in order to strengthen the muscles, promote good balance and fall prevention.

Digital X-Ray

Digital X-rays are used here at DBH Chiropractic. Our X-ray unit is state of the art and is safe, quick and easy in order to get the images needed in order to get a proper diagnosis of the patients. We perform x-rays to minimize the risk to the patient when they come in for treatment, it also helps give the doctor a blueprint on how to best help the patient.
